Esther English

Registered Counsellor

Esthers passion lies in women’s mental health, particularly the motherhood experience.
She understands that pregnancy and the months that follow can bring profound joy, but also moments of loneliness, isolation, and a deep sense of lost identity. Many women find themselves putting their children, partners, and even others first, while their own needs quietly slip to the background.

Esther recognises that countless women suffer in silence, afraid of being judged for feeling guilt, shame, overwhelm, or disappointment during what society often portrays as a purely joyful season. These feelings can create the belief that something is “wrong” or that they need to be “fixed.” Esther holds a different perspective — she believes women don’t need fixing. They need understanding, patience, and support that meets them exactly where they are.
Her counselling style is gentle, grounded, non‑judgmental, and deeply safe. She creates space for women and individuals to explore their experiences with honesty and compassion, to reconnect with their sense of self, and to build confidence in their own strengths. Esther works collaboratively to help clients discover practical, realistic coping strategies that fit within the demands and rhythms of their everyday lives.

Esther’s goal is simple but powerful: to help women feel supported, understood, and truly empowered — not just as mothers, but as whole and capable individuals.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Support for Mental Health, Emotional Wellbeing, and Stress Management
  • A Person‑centred, Strength‑based approach that empowers clients to build on their unique abilities
  • Skilled in Motivational Interviewing to help clients create meaningful and lasting change
  • Experience with Narrative Therapy, helping clients re‑author their stories with clarity and confidence
  • Compassionate support for Grief & Loss, Family & Domestic Violence, and Relationship challenges

Education & Certifications:

  • Diploma of Counselling
  • Member, Australian Counselling Association (ACA)

Brendan English

Registered Counsellor

Brendan is passionate about supporting those navigating life transitions as he has walked through many seasons of change himself — leaving the army, rediscovering who he is, letting go of unhealthy relationships, building a stronger and more aligned one, grieving loved ones, becoming a father, navigating career shifts, and adjusting to the realities of growing older. Because of these lived experiences, he understands on a deep, personal level how overwhelming life transitions can feel. He knows how easily fear can take hold, leaving us uncertain about the next step or hesitant to move forward into the unknown.

These experiences have shaped the way Brendan supports others. He believes that everyone moves through significant life transitions — starting a new career, becoming a parent, navigating separation, entering retirement, or any of the many changes that shape our identities. He recognises that even positive change can stir up feelings of confusion, worry, loneliness, or a sense of losing oneself.

For Brendan, these transitions aren’t just periods of difficulty — they are also powerful opportunities for growth, self‑discovery, and renewed direction. He acknowledges that every transition involves letting go of something familiar, and with that letting go often comes grief. Brendan believes this grief deserves compassion, space, and understanding.

His counselling style is grounded, open, and deeply human. Brendan meets clients where they are, without judgement, walking beside them as they make sense of their experiences. He supports people in reconnecting with their strengths, understanding their own patterns, and finding clarity about what comes next. His goal is to help clients move through life’s changes with greater confidence, self‑awareness, and a sense of empowerment — knowing they don’t have to navigate these seasons alone.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Support for Mental Health, Emotional Wellbeing, and Stress Management
  • Person‑centred, Strength‑based approach that empowers clients to build on their unique abilities
  • Skilled in Motivational Interviewing to help clients create meaningful and lasting change
  • Experience with Narrative Therapy, helping clients re‑author their stories with clarity and confidence
  • Compassionate support for Grief & Loss, Family & Domestic Violence, and Relationship challenges

Education & Certifications:

  • Diploma of Counselling
  • Member, Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
